Thala Ajith will reprise the role of Mammootty in the remakeAfter the success of Bodygaurd, director Siddique's another Malayalam hit Bhaskar The Rascal,starring Mammootty and Nayantara is on the stage of remake.
Since quite sometime reports were doing on the rounds that superstar Rajinikanth will be playing the lead in the movie. Rumours about the superstar being part of the remake gained momentum after Tamil remake rights of Bhaskar The Rascal was obtained by SS Durairaj. But soon news broke out about Rajinikanth claiming his disinterest to be part of remakes.
Now, the latest update is that Thala Ajith and Nayantara will be recreating the comedy flick in Tamil.
According to reports, Siddique, who helmed the original, will be directing the Tamil flick as well.
Sources also suggest that Ajith liked the script and gave his approval for the film. Also, Nayantara is said to have already signed a legal bond.
If the project implements, this will be the first time that Thala Ajith will be seen working with director Siddique. Earlier, Siddique had helmed the Tamil movies Kavalan and Friends.
