The actress was asked if she was willing to work with Tamil star Prabhu DevaActress Nikesha Patel landed in hot water for her candid comment in an interview.
The actress, who made her debut in Puli opposite Pawan Kalyan, was asked if she was willing to work with Tamil star Prabhu Deva. Reportedly, she said, “You are asking about doing a movie with Prabhu Deva but I want to marry Prabhu Deva.”
In no time, marriage rumours started circulating on social media. However, the actress later issued a clarification on Twitter and said that her statement was misconstrued. “I’m so fed up with media calls in the last few days. It's time I clarified this is not true. This news has been completely misunderstood. I’m busy with work and family,” she said.
She also added: “I think it’s time to clarify that the Prabhu Deva sir news is not true… I’m not marrying anyone…. He’s purely just a friend … And a well-wisher. I call him sir only. (sic)”
Prabhu Deva was granted divorce from wife Ramlath in 2010.
