While Aamir Khan is on a busy schedule with his upcoming movie Dangal, reports claim that the actor is in talks with renowned Hollywood director Mel Gibson.
According to reports, Aamir Khan has been wanting to create the Mahabharata on celluloid for a long time now, and he has been in talks with Mel Gibson regarding the cinematic adaptation of the Indian epic. Mahabharata will be backed by a renowned Hollywood studio and is expected to go on the floors early 2017.
Sources suggest that the team has started the pre-production work and that it has been a while since they have set the designs.
The script is already locked and Aamir Khan is likely to sign on the dotted line soon. Mel Gibson has plans to rope in a few more actors from India for the epic saga.
