If the rumours are true, Tamil cinema will see the collaboration of two National Award winning movie artistes- director Bala and actor Dhanush.
At a recent award function, Bala asked Dhanush to give him an opportunity to direct him. Bala, who has made path-breaking films like Sethu, Pithamagan, Naan Kadavul, Avan Ivan and Paradesi is known for his realistic and raw approach to filmmaking.
"Dhanush might not work with me as a producer but he might do a film as an actor. If Dhanush gives me a chance, why not?", said the filmmaker jokingly, accentuating the fact that he might not be considered as a typical producer's director. Calling Dhanush an asset not only to Kollywood but to the entire Indian film industry, Bala continued to shower praises on the Aadukalam actor.
In his speech, Dhanush said he is ready to act in a Bala film whenever he gets a call from the director. "I am ready to do a film with Bala sir, it's him who has not called me until now," said the actor.
Well, going by this conversation, we won't be surprised if a Bala-Dhanush project is announced in the future.
Dhanush's last releases Shamitabh in Hindi and Anegan in Tamil have not done wonders at the box office but the actor is super cool and has moved onto his next projects.
Another National Award came his way recently as his production Kaaka Muttai won the National Award for Best Children's Film.
Dhanush and Bala, a natural actor and a maverick director, are two people in the Tamil film industry who have carved out their careers in inimitable style. If the two decide to work together, movie buffs will expect nothing other than a stunning film.
