When the teaser of Vijay Deverakonda's film 'Dear Comrade' came out, netizens had a mixed feeling. Starring Rashmika Mandanna, the teaser first showed Vijay's character as angry young man besides his intense romantic side with a lip-lock sequence with his co-star Rashmika.

And many weren't really happy with the kissing scene. While some questioned as to whether the 'lip-lock was so much essential', a few others even criticised the makers for adding it as a publicity stunt.

Now, actress Rashmika herself has opened about the trolls and comments.

She said, “All I did was to do justice to the role as the scene demanded it and the lip-lock is nothing. One shouldn't judge a movie based on the lip-lock scene rather should watch the film to know.”

Further clarifying that she never accepts a role unless she likes it, Rashmika stated, “People accepted movies like 'Geetha Govindam' and I am sure about this movie as well.”

Devarakonda and Rashmika are teaming up for the second time with 'Dear Comrade'. The two were last seen together on the big screen in the 2018 hit film 'Geetha Govindam'. Directed by Bharat Kamma, 'Dear Comrade' is all set for a grand release on May 31 in all South Indian languages.
