On Aug 5, 2018, Lovato broke her silence on social media and wrote a lengthy post about her drug use as well as her commitment to her fans. "I have always been transparent about my journey with addiction. What I've learned is that this illness is not something that disappears or fades with time. It is something I must continue to overcome and have not done yet," she wrote.

The drug addiction and rehab
Lovato entered rehab in July after suffering from a nearly fatal overdose and experiencing severe health complications while she was hospitalised. In her final post on social media before entering treatment, she wrote that she needs 'time to focus on my sobriety and road to recovery.'
Reports were rife since then that Nick's relationship with Priyanka was the reason for Lovato's addiction which ended her in rehab. The night before her alleged overdose, the singer and her friends enjoyed a night out in West Hollywood where she was taking shots with her friends.
The big fat wedding that excluded 'the best friend'
Demi Lovato was recently out of rehab and reports suggests that she is doing just great. Meanwhile, the singer is now checking out every thing that she missed during the days at rehab and that included Nick Jonas wedding with Priyanka Chopra.
Recently, according to the US Magazine, Lovato was deeply upset when she learned that was not invited to the starry wedding. A source informed the magazine that it broke her heart. When Lovato was admitted into the hospital after a drug overdose, Nick had even tweeted that they loved her and were praying that she gets well very soon. But why did he not consider to send at least a wedding invite to his 'third most trusted person'. Demi has been Nick's long-time tourmate and they have collaborated on several songs.
Well, the fans of Nick Jonas and Demi Lovato's friendship are heartbroken.

It seems now that Lovato has moved on. Reportedly, Lovato is rumored to be dating designer Hnery Levy since Lovato completed treatment. The couple was spotted in early November having a dinner in Los Angeles. It was Lovato's first public appearance since exiting rehab, and the two have since been going steady since then burying their past, according to media in the West.
