After the stupendous success of Malayalam film Ennu Ninte Moideen, debutant director R.S.Vimal had announced remaking the movie in Tamil.
The director had said that Prithviraj Sukumaran, who played the lead role in the Malayalam film, might also be cast in the Tamil remake. But it seems with many projects in hand, Prithvi won't be able to commit for the same and now reports about another Tamil actor is doing the rounds.
According to reports, actor Karthi will be playing the role of ‘Moideen’. The female lead has not yet been confirmed.
Directed by R.S.Vimal himself, the remake will be penned by Jeyamohan. Meanwhile, it is also heard that Oscar winning music composer A.R. Rahman will also be part for the project. Since music plays a key role in the movie, it would be exciting to see Rahman working for the Malayalam remake.
An official statement from the director is still awaited.
