The Kerala Film Critics Awards continue to stand out as the only film honours in the state, apart from the State Awards, where applications are invited and winners are chosen through a jury process.
The Academy fellowships were awarded to E Ananthapadmanabhan (Music), Xavier Pulpatt (Drama), and Kalamandalam Saraswati (Dance).
The awards will be presented by Health and Woman and Child Development Minister Veena George in Thiruvananthapuram.
Manorama News also made its mark, winning two awards.
Shiny Jacob Benjamin is a noted documentary filmmaker who has directed many documentaries, including two that have won national awards.
