The health side of social media has been abuzz with posts listing the benefits of golden berries - small, round fruits, approximately the size of a marble. A close relative of popper-berry that is grown abundantly in Kerala backyards, golden berries have gained popularity in recent years as a superfood due to their nutritional content.

Golden berries, also known as cape gooseberries, or Peruvian ground cherries, are native to South America but are now cultivated in various parts of the world. Golden berries are celebrated for their unique sweet-tart flavour and numerous health benefits.
