Blackout A scene from the play 'Black Out'

Gear up for an evening of theatre as Mumbai based Tej Raj Productions presents the famous Gujarati Play "Black Out" at 7 pm on Sunday, November 9.

Directed by Dhiraj Palshetkar, the play is based on a husband-wife relationship. Siddharth (performed by stage actor Dharmendra Gohil) and Maitri (performed by stage actor Sneha Desai), lead a routine life in their apartment in Mumbai. Siddharth doesn't seem to be comfortable with the household chores while Mairti is a perfectionist and is always prepared for any crisis situation.

The couple exchanges a dialogue or two but seldom 'communicates.' The reason behind their cold relationship is not a pleasant tale. Maitri had a miscarriage a while ago and Siddharth wasn't around at the time. Maitri has not been able to forgive him for doing so. Things remain quite tensed, until one day, when a power cut in the building compelled them to start 'communicating' over the forced candle-lit dinner.

The music is by Aalap Desai and Kamlesh Mota. Kamlesh Mota's would also be designing the sets for the play.

Duration: 1 hours
