Kochi: The 11th edition of the annual nature photography contest organized by Greenstorm Foundation has invited entries for this year's contest on the theme 'Breath of Nature', in consonance with this year's World Environment Day's theme beat air pollution.

The contestants need to upload their photographs on or before June 30, 2019 at the foundation's website, www.greenstorm.green.

The contest had progressively acquired worldwide acclaim by attracting thousands of entries every year from across the world throughout these years.

Dileep Narayanan, Managing Trustee, Greenstorm Foundation, said the first three winners of the contest will get cash prizes of Rs.1 lakh (Rs.50,000 for the first place, Rs.30,000 for the second and Rs.20,000 for the third place respectively). A jury comprising of Mahesh Mhangore, Bangalore-based wild life photographer; Anilkumar, one of the leading advertising photographers of south India and Latha Jayagopal, an architect specialized in sustainable architecture will shortlist top entries which will be webxibited on www.greenstorm.green from July 15 to 30, 2019.

The top three winners will be selected on the basis of jury votes and online votes polled by the visiting public, Narayanan said.

Greenstorm initiative was started in 2009 in association with UNEP to effect appropriate behavioral changes among people through the power of creativity.
