A cube-like installation, created jointly by artists Eva Bubla and Lilli Tolp, was part of the exhibition. Rinku Raj MattancheriyilKochi: An art exhibition, titled So(i)litude, is underway here at the Durbar Hall art gallery as as an attempt to remind and revive man's connection with nature and his early roots and Mother Earth.
Four artists - Shijo Jacob, Shinod Akkaraparambil, Eva Bubla (Hungary) and Lilli Tolp (Estonia) - have come together with a message against the increasing exploitation of soil.
The exhibition features art works and installations depicting soil and nature.
Images and installations created by Shijo, a faculty at the Raja Ravi Varma College of Fine Arts in Mavelikara, are included in the exhibition.
Shinod, a Chennai-based journalist, showcased as many as 258 small paintings. The paintings, which evoked the fragrance of soil, were made using only brown and black colours.
A cube-like installation, created jointly by Eva and Lilli, has also been included in the exhibition, which was curated by Jiss Victor.
