Diamond Jubilee for Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam

Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam, is all set to celebrate its diamond jubilee. The one-year-long celebrations will kick off from this weekend.
A science exhibition, named Vajra MACE, will be held from November 26 to December 3 to coincide with the commencement of the celebrations. The ISRO, Cochin Shipyard, C-DAC, Factories and Boilers Department, Directorate of Industries and Commerce, Excise Department are among the major institutions participating in the exhibition.
More than 30 robots, infinity mirror, alcohol-detection helmet, wind mill, metro mill, tractor, piano starecase etc set up by the students are among the highlights of the show.
The college labs will also be open for the public on the occassion.
Cultural performances by musician Vidhu Pratap, Gowri Lakshmi, Sharath Warrier, and Aiswarya Rajeev will be staged.
Participants can also get a bird's eye view of Kothamangalam town with helicopter rides at the venue. In addition, delicious treats will be available at food stalls on the college premises.
International conferences, national seminars, cultural programmes, alumni meet etc are also planned in the coming months.
Founded in 1963, Mar Athanasius College of Engineering is one of the earliest engineering colleges in Kerala.
