Thiruvananthapuram: The new schedule for Kerala SSLC, Higher Secondary (Plus-Two) and Vocational Higher Secondary (VHSE) examinations have been announced.

The examination was rescheduled after considering the comments and suggestions received from various quarters.

Earlier, the Plus Two and VHSE exams will end on April 26th, the same day JEE exams are taking place. Below is the updated timetable:

The SSLC and Plus-Two examinations which were earlier scheduled to begin on March 17 and 24, respectively will now be rescheduled to start from April 8 onwards.

The change in dates was due to concerns regarding conducting the exams in March-April would clash with the Assembly polls in the state and create logistical difficulties as classrooms are often utilised for election purposes. Teachers too are roped in for election duties and they are set to commence their training for poll duties shortly.

The all-important SSLC or Secondary School Leaving Certificate examination is administered by the Kerala Board of Public Examinations often in March every year. The Plus-Two exams for Senior Secondary Courses are conducted by the Directorate of Higher Secondary Education.
