Various airlines are alerting their passengers of possible delays and cancellations due to heavy rainfall in Mumbai. Air India issued a notice on its social media page alerting flyers on potential delays of flights from and to Mumbai. "Guests are advised to start early for the airport, as slow traffic and waterlogging may delay movement. Please check flight status before heading to the airport," said Air India's X page. Meanwhile, Indio also said the rains are causing periodic delays in flight schedules. Spice Coast also alerted that all departures and arrivals may be affected due to inclement weather.
The local train services are also affected in Mumbai due to reduced visibility caused by winds and heavy rains. Around 28 services are cancelled and the other trains are running up to 30 minutes late. Mumbai is on a red alert till Friday morning and there is severe waterlogging in many parts of the city. The Andheri subway has been closed due to this reason.
