'Nourish the roots, and the rest will thrive' is a saying that's true in many contexts, especially hair care. For your hair to be healthy, you must start at the roots by nourishing your scalp. However, thanks to stress, lifestyle, lack of time, dandruff, dryness, scalp psoriasis, acne, dermatitis, and more, are quite common. It's important to take proper medical care if you have any of these issues that can further result in hair loss. If you feel your hair care game needs a refresh, start by adding rosemary oil to your routine. And here's how, according to Medical News Today:
1. Unless it is specifically mentioned as a rosemary oil meant for direct use, dilute your rosemary oil in coconut, almond or jojoba oil first. You can pick the right oil after discussing it with your dermatologist. Mix 2 to 3 drops of rosemary oil in 1 teaspoon of your preferred carrier oil. Shake the mix well to ensure the rosemary oil is evenly distributed. After doing a patch test by applying a small amount on your inner wrist, apply the mix on your scalp with your fingertips or a dropper. Leave it on for 30 minutes, and then wash it off to remove the excess oil.
2. You can also mix the oil with your shampoo. Just make sure the shampoo is not over-concentrated with rosemary oil. Two or three drops will do.
3. Add rosemary oil to your homemade shampoo as a base.
4. Make sure you apply them regularly, based on the frequency guidance advised by the brand you use or your doctor. Oils like these take time to work on your hair and give results
5. Ensure you massage your scalp well while applying the hair for a good result.
