With quaint Kerala architecture and serene environs, this house is head turner

The dream home, which belongs to Suhail and his family is located in Areekode, Malappuram. It's an abode reminiscent of those seen in the old movies of Sathyan Anthikad. A house, with beauty and purity and throbbing with rural life, opens into verdant paddy fields.

The sloping roof, in several layers, reuses old clay tiles. This gives the house a 'been here for ages' feel. The greenery of the paddy field in front extends into the house's landscape. Pearl grass and tropical plants are present here.

The ground floor consists of a porch, sit-out, living room, dining room, courtyard, kitchen, work area, three bedrooms, and a bathroom. The upper floor has a bedroom, bathroom, office, library, and a balcony. The total area of the house is 4400 square feet.

The longest balcony opening to the expansive view of the verdant paddy fields is the most beautiful part of the house. Sitting here in the mornings and evenings, one can enjoy nature in its fullness, caressed by the ever-caressing gentle breeze.

The courtyard is another highlight. The roof is covered with GI grill and glass. Natural light fills the interior abundantly. The floor is paved with stones. There are wooden seats. The side wall is finished with white cladding.

A long sit-out facing the paddy field welcomes guests. A deck space is also provided adjacent to it. These spaces are designed to maximize the enjoyment of nature's beauty. The entrance to the house leads into a living room with double-height ceiling, giving an aura of vastness.

The bedrooms are designed with different colour themes. The theme is brought in through the highlighter colour on the head side wall. A pleasant atmosphere fills the house throughout the day. Many people visit the house after seeing it on social media and other platforms.
