The dal fritter tastes and smells good when fried in fresh coconut oil. Here is how you could make tasty and crunchy dal fritters at home.

Ingredients
1 cup toor dal
½ cup chopped shallots
1 tbsp chopped green chillies
1 tsp chopped ginger
Curry leaves
Salt as required
Coconut oil to fry

Preparation
Soak the toor dal for at least 4 hours
Grind the soaked dal into a coarse paste
Add the rest of the ingredients into it
Mix well
Make small balls from this mixture and gently press into fritter shape
Deep fry in hot coconut oil.
