Harsh Dagar gave another stunning performance on Thursday as India qualified for the main draw of the FIBA 3x3 Asia Cup in Singapore. India defeated the Philippines 21-11 to complete a hat-trick of wins and top Qualifying Draw B.

Dagar, 20, top-scored with 10 points, while Kerala's Pranav Prince hit 6. Dagar had scored 12 points in each of India's victories over Korea (21-11) and Macau (21-6) in the qualifiers on March 26. The Philippines had also defeated the other two sides to set up a top-of-table clash with India.

The win has taken India to Pool B in the main draw alongside second-seed China and Chinese Taipei. The main draw games will be held on March 28, with the top two teams guaranteed to progress to the knockout stages.

Dagar and Kushal Singh, who are part of the ongoing campaign, were members of a young Indian side that secured a silver medal in the FIBA 3x3 Under-18 Asia Cup in 2022.

Meanwhile, the Indian women's team led by Kerala's Sreekala Rani lost their second qualifying game to Chinese Taipei (13-17). Aneesha Cleetus is a second Malayali in the four-member Indian team.
