Tangy and tasty lemon rice could be prepared in a jiffy. Here is the recipe:
Ingredients
1 cup boiled basmati rice
2 tsp lemon juice
¼ cup peanuts
¼ cup yellow split dal
¼ cup urad dal
¼ tsp asafoetida
½ tsp turmeric powder
Salt as required
2 green chillies
2 dried chillies
Curry leaves as required
¼ tsp sugar
Preparation
Heat 2 tbsp oil in a frying pan
Splutter the mustard seeds
Roast urad dal, yellow split dal and peanuts
Sauté the green chillies, dried chillies and curry leaves
Add turmeric powder and asafoetida powder
Now add lemon juice and salt as required
Add the boiled basmati rice too
Give everything a good mix
Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
Enjoy lemon juice with papad, salad and pickle.
