Actor Malavika Menon recently responded to online channels and others who often film celebrities without their consent. In an attempt to highlight this behaviour, she filmed the crew filming her, which she later shared publicly. Malavika pointed out that when she turned her camera on, many of the crew members immediately ran away. She also pointed out the audacity of those who, despite often filming artists from multiple angles, have no hesitation in posting these videos online.
In the video, she said playfully, 'This is the team I was talking about. Not everyone made it on camera; by the time I switched it on, most of them had already run off. And when you shoot from above, what are we supposed to do?'

In an interaction with Manorama Online, Malavika clarified that the video was meant as a light-hearted gesture. She explained that her initial intention was to film the crew, but when she took out her phone, most of them quickly fled. 'They are scared to have their videos posted on social media, but they have no hesitation doing it to others. They are just doing their job, and I’ve had both positive and negative experiences with them', she said.

Malavika also addressed the criticism she often faces regarding her clothing choices. She emphasized that everyone has the right to wear whatever they want and express their opinions without hurting others. She further stressed the importance of people doing their jobs with responsibility and respect. While she has no issue with online media, she hopes for a reduction in negative comments.

Malavika also shared a positive experience with online media during an event, when a large crowd gathered. She explained how the crew helped clear a path for her, displaying cooperation.
