JEE Main 2025: Registration begins for Session 1; open till Nov 22

The application process for Session 1 of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 has begun. Candidates can register for the examination on the official websites, www.nta.ac.in and jeemain.nta.nic.in, until November 22.
Examination centres will be announced by the first week of January, and the exams are scheduled to be held between January 22 and 31. Results are expected to be declared on February 12.
Candidates applying for both sessions can use the same application number, but separate fees are required for each session. A separate notification will be issued for Session 2, and candidates intending to appear only for the second session need not register now.
Examination Details
The JEE Main examination comprises two papers. Paper I is for admission to B.Tech programmes offered by NITs, IIITs, and centrally funded technical institutions and serves as a qualifying examination for JEE Advanced. It covers three subjects: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, with 25 questions each across sections A and B, totalling 75 marks. The examination will be held in two sessions, from 9 am to 12 pm and from 3 pm to 6 pm.
Paper II is divided into sections A and B. Paper II-A is for admission to B.Arch programmes, covering Mathematics, Aptitude, and a Drawing test, with a total score of 77 marks. All sections except the Drawing test are computer-based. Examination timing aligns with Paper I. Paper II-B is for admission to Bachelor of Planning courses. It has a total of 100 marks and covers Mathematics, Aptitude, and Planning, with the exam conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm.
