The marriage of the celebrity couple, Malayali actor Nayanthara who turned out to be the lady superstar of South Indian cinema, and Tamil director Vignesh Sivan, was celebrated by the media recently. The couple who have been seeing each other for a long time tied the knot on June 9.

The pictures of their wedding rituals, the costumes the couple chose for their big day and all details related to the duo had taken the internet by storm. Soon after the marriage, the duo left for Thailand to celebrate a cosy honeymoon.

Unlike other celebrities vacationing at highly expensive resorts charging lakhs per night, Nayan-Vikki chose the Siam Hotel, a beautiful five-star hotel set in a serene urban sanctuary near Bangkok, which provides luxurious amenities at a relatively reasonable tariff.

The Classic Thai style
The Siam hotel, offering a carefully curated range of signature Thai experiences with modern world-class amenities, is set on the banks of River Chao Phraya near Bangkok in the historical district of Dusit near the Krung Thon bridge. Bangkok’s must-see historical and cultural attractions, including temples, palaces and museums, are all in the vicinity of the hotel.

The Siam was designed by Krissada Sukosol Clapp, the Thai pop singer, creative director and celebrity and Bill Bensley, the American landscape architect, architect and interior designer. Krissada, who wished to build a unique hotel on the land he inherited along the banks of River Chao Phraya approached Bill Bensley and discussed ideas. Blending the ideas and concepts of both Bill and Krissada, the Siam turned out to be a stunning piece of art.

Colour tones present a formal mood to the space
The colours black, white, cream, grey and neutral shades are aesthetically amalgamated with natural curios and décor in the hotel. Antique and historical art décor here reflects the great times of Bangkok, under the reign of King Rama V. The hotel also has an antique collection that includes wooden statues and figurines of Buddha dating back to the 16 th century.

The Siam hotel is a 45 minutes travel from the Suvarnabhumi Airport (the Bangkok international airport). The major shopping area of the city, the Downtown Siam Square, is hardly 20 minutes away. One can also enjoy the magnificence of the popular Royal Barge Museum on the way to the Square.
