Moni Bhonsle, the Indore girl who gained attention during the Kumbh Mela, expressed her interest in acting in a film if her family approved. Moni said she returned home because of illness during the Kumbh Mela. Reports also surfaced that Moni had earned ten crore rupees in ten days. However, Moni denied it as a false rumour.

“If I had earned so much money, would my family and I still be selling necklaces? I returned home from the Kumbh Mela due to illness and security concerns. I will be back for the next Kumbh Mela,” Moni clarified. Following her media attention, reports suggest that some film personalities from Mumbai approached the girl and her family.

A video of Moni, who was selling garlands at Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, went viral on social media stating her eyes resembled those of Mona Lisa in the painting by Leonardo da Vinci. Later, Moni returned to Indore, Madhya Pradesh, her birthplace. After her pictures and videos went viral, many people came to see Moni.

Subsequently, news spread that her father had sent her back home. Moni is the youngest in her family. She has two brothers and two sisters. Moni had said that she travels from place to place selling necklaces due to financial hardship at home.
