Fatayer is an Arabic pie that has a rich spinach or cheese filling. It is an amazing dish to try for your next iftar. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 packet or 11 gms yeast
1 tbsp sugar
½ tbsp salt
¾ cup lukewarm milk
1/3 cup olive oil
½ cup mozzarella cheese
½ cup feta cheese
4 tbsp parsley (finely chopped)
2 tbsp onion seeds
1 egg

Preparation
Take the all-purpose flour in a big bowl
Mix yeast and sugar in lukewarm water
Add the yeast mix into the all-purpose flour
Add olive oil too
Now mix into a soft dough
Cover the dough using a clean muslin cloth
Keep it aside for at least 10 minutes
Make small balls from the dough
Soak the feta cheese in cold water for 10 minutes
Change the water twice while soaking the feta
Transfer the feta cheese into another bowl and mash it well
Into it add the mozzarella cheese, egg, onion seeds and parsley and mix well
Roll the dough balls into rectangular sheets
Place a spoon full of the cheese filling in the centre of these sheets Fold them into the shape of a boat
Bake the cheese fatayer for 15 – 20 minutes in a preheated oven of 180 degree Celsius
