New Delhi: 576 more applicants from Kerala have been allotted slots for the Hajj pilgrimage this year. The names in the waiting list of four states, including Kerala, have been approved after 1100 applications were cancelled from the initial list. Those who registered from serial number 2826 to 3401 in the waiting list have been selected.
The applicants who have paid the entire amount should submit the copy of their passport, medical screening certificate, pay in slip and other important documents at the Kerala State Hajj Committee today itself. To view the waiting list, open website.
No approval for applicants below 12 years
Saudi Arabia hasn’t granted approval for applicants below 12 years of age to perform Hajj this year. So, the applications of 291 children have been rejected; eight applications of children from Kerala too were rejected. The adults who are included in the same cover can either travel to Saudi without taking the children or withdraw their application.
Tasreeh: comprehensive portal
Saudi has launched a comprehensive portal Tasreeh for granting domestic and international pilgrims approval for performing Hajj. The newly launched portal is likely to make the application processing quicker and more efficient. Tasreeh will be merged with the existing Nusuk platform. Vehicles entering Mecca too need to secure the necessary approvals. Meanwhile, those who work or reside in Mecca should apply via the special portal for securing special permit.
