Arabian cakes are simple dishes that stand out for their spectacular taste and texture. This pineapple cake made using locally sourced fresh pineapple is very easy to cook. A special delicacy that is served during parties and important events, these cakes are unavoidable items in Arabic cuisine. 

A traditional Arabic feast could be divided into three courses. The first course is lighter with fresh fruits and vegetable dishes. The main course is heavier and serves countless meat and fish dishes. The meal is ended with desserts, and cakes hold a special place in this course.

Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup butter
2 tsp powdered sugar
Baking powder
Vanilla powder/essence
2 eggs (beaten)
1 tsp pineapple essence
Pineapple rings as required

Preparation
Melt the butter and mix the powdered sugar, baking powder and vanilla powder into it
Now add the beaten eggs
Mix well
Add the pineapple essence too
Add the all-purpose flour slowly into this mixture
Fold well
Grease a round or square cake tin with some butter
Place the fresh pineapple rings on the bottom
Now pour the cake batter into the tin
Bake for 15 minutes at 15 – 20 degree Celsius in an oven
Take out the cake from the oven and flip it into a tray or a plate
The perfectly baked pineapple rings would look amazing

Note: Tinned pineapples too could be used to make this cake. The cake is extremely soft and has a fabulous aroma. As it isn’t overly sweet, everyone can enjoy this cake.
