Ingredients
1 cup wheat
¼ cup urad dal
¼ tsp fenugreek seeds
2.5 tbsp flattened rice or 1.5 tbsp boiled rice

Preparation
Soak the wheat, urad dal and fenugreek seeds separately for at least 3 -4 hours
Soak the flattened rice ten minutes before you prepare the batter
Now grind the urad dal and flattened rice together
Keep them aside
Grind the wheat and fenugreek
Transfer this into the bowl in which the urad dal-flattened rice batter is kept
Mix well
Keep this batter aside for 7-8 hours for it to rise
Grease the idli plates with some oil
Pour a spoonful of batter in each hole
Cook in steam for 15 minutes
Enjoy the soft wheat idli with sambar and coconut chutney.
