That is precisely what the Crest Valley at Ooty is offering this winter. A veritable camping tent shaped like an igloo! You can fall asleep staring at the stars and the moon, wake up to the sound of birds chirping and the sun rays shining on you.
This camp is at a private location, closely guarded, with tents right in the middle of a forest bordered by trees. They provide sleeping bags, and each tent can house two or three occupants and will be supplied individual sleeping bags, lockers, and free breakfast.
Campers can access suitable restrooms which also offer hot showers. The transparent balloon tents are waterproof and water-resistant and include a double bed, tiny sofas, and a bedside table. The Balloon tents are built keeping an eye on your privacy and they do not allow pets to the camp. Each tent is priced at Rs 1250.
That apart you can treat yourself to archery, Estate farming, Fishing, Forest safari ride, trekking in Western Ghat Road and Mukurthi mountain peak. You can also use the electric bikes to cycle through the ghat roads, hairpin bends and up-hill rides to Upper Bhavani, along with the winding roads (Rs 200 for 2 hours). For trekking, you will be given a trekking stick, food, professional guide, first aid kit and backup cab.
