Rishabh Pant has revealed the players from the past with whom he would have liked to play with and against. The swashbuckling wicketkeeper batter also revealed his favourite shot, which, considering his penchant for the audacious, might not come as a surprise to fans.

In an impromptu Q&A with fans on the social media platform X, also called Twitter, Pant shared his admiration for former Indian opener Virender Sehwag. Pant said that among the players from the past, he would have loved to play with 'Viru bhai'.

Sehwag was one of the most daring batters, who excited fans with his attacking style. Wisden Cricketers' Almanack described the retired batter as the "most exciting opener in the world" during his time. In a sense, Pant resembles Sehwag by virtue of his fearless approach. Imagine Pant and prime Sehwag playing together, what a treat that would have been.

Pant listed the 'reverse scoop six against a fast bowler' as his favourite shot. He was also asked to pick a bowler from the past he would have liked to face. He picked two: Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh.

The West Indies pacers were a fearsome duo in world cricket in the late 1980s and 90s. Their partnership, which fetched over 900 Test wickets, was unmatched for several years. Imagine Pant trying to scoop Walsh or Ambrose for a six. Would that have angered the Giants? Nevertheless, it would have added to the excitement of the game.
