Anzal is excited to share his experience of building his dream dwelling, overcoming the space constraints of a 5 cents plot in Edapally. The plot, at a single glance, looked like a perfect piece of land. However, the uneven surface of it would only be revealed as one enters and takes a good look at it.

Anzal was initially skeptical whether he would be able to build a spacious house on this plot. As the plot lies in the middle of the city, it is closely surrounded by other houses and buildings. The family wanted a slice of nature inside the house, which is vast enough not to feel suffocated. Designer Shinto visited the plot and understood its unique features before drawing the plan. Within a few months, a beautiful house rose up here, fulfilling the dreams of Anzal and his family.

Lighter shades adorn the exteriors walls with the cement texture and cement finish making it stand out. These colours and patterns are followed on the boundary wall as well.

The uniquely designed formal living area stands out for its classy finish. This area is designed in double height and a view of this space is easily available from the upper storey. The elegant wooden strips, pasted on this wall, in a beautiful pattern, acts as a decorative feature. The indoor plants here add a shade of green hue which elevates the overall look of the space.

As there is excellent cross ventilation, the temperature inside the house is always pleasant and comfortable. The construction was done for Rs 2650 per square feet, including the structure and the furnishing. This house proves that an amazingly spacious house, with all the modern facilities, could be built on a small plot, with proper planning and meticulous use of spaces.
