The season of oranges is here and plump and juicy oranges have taken over the fruit stalls. Orange peel is often used in plum cakes to give it that perfect tangy and sweet flavours. You could also make delicious candies using orange peel. Here is the recipe.

Ingredients
6 orange peels
8 tbsp sugar
Water as required
Juice of 1 lemon

Preparation
Wash the orange peels and scrape off the white skin from under the peel
Boil some water
Add the peel that is cut into small pieces
Boil for 10 minutes
Melt 6 tbsp sugar in a hot pan
Add the boiled orange peel into this
Stir continuously until the water reduces
Add the lemon juice
Transfer the candies into a flat-bottomed vessel
When the candies are still warm sprinkle some sugar
You could enjoy the candies as it is or dip in melted chocolate.
