Ingredients
¾ kg tapioca
Half coconut
2 tbsp coconut oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
10 shallots
Curry leaves
2 dried chillies
Salt as required

Preparation
Peel and wash the tapioca
Cut them into 1 inch pieces
Add the tapioca pieces into rapidly boiling water
Strain the tapioca when it is almost done
Boil some more water
Add the half cooked tapioca and some salt
Cook well; however, the tapioca pieces shouldn’t be overcooked and mushy
Strain after the tapioca has cooked well
Add the grated coconut and salt
Mix well and keep aside
Heat 2 tbsp coconut oil in a thick bottomed pan
Splutter the mustard seeds
Now sauté shallots, dried chillies and curry leaves
Turn off the flame when the shallots turn brown in colour
Add this tempering into the tapioca
Mix well and enjoy.
