Ingredients
1 tbsp oil
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal
1 sprig curry leaves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 big onion
4 potatoes (boiled and mashed)
For the gravy
¾ cup grated coconut
1 shallot
5 garlic cloves
5 green chillies
2 tsp fennel seeds

Preparation
Heat oil in a pan
Splutter mustard seeds and urad dal
Sauté the curry leaves, cinnamon and onion
Now add the mashed potatoes
Mix well and cook on low flame with the lid on
Grind the coconut with shallots, garlic cloves, green chillies and fennel seeds into smooth paste
Add this paste into the potato mixture
Now add 1 ½ cups water and salt as required
Give everything a good mix
Cook for 10 minutes with the lid on
Delicious potato podimas is ready.
