Tasty laddus can be easily made at home using broken wheat. Try this very simple recipe for broken wheat laddu.

Ingredients
1 cup broken wheat
1 cup sugar
3½ cups water
1 tsp ghee
A pinch of food colour
Nuts as required

Preparation
Dry roast the broken wheat in a thick bottomed pan
Keep it aside
In the same pan, boil water with the food colour in it
Add in the roasted broken wheat when the water boils
Stir occasionally 
When the water begins to reduce, add the sugar and ghee
Mix and cook until it has soft yet firm consistency
Make small balls when this mixture cools down
Garnish the laddus with nuts.
