Onion rings are a very popular appetizer or snack in Europe. These perfectly crumbed rings are known for their crunch and great flavour.

Chef Aswani Geetha Gopalakrishnan adds a Kerala twist to Europe's favourite snack dish and uses desiccated coconut instead of breadcrumbs for that amazing crunch.

Besides, the coconut adds an extra flavour. Check out this simple recipe of crunchy coconut onion rings.

Ingredients
1 onion
200 gm desiccated coconut
200 gm all purpose flour
200 ml milk

Preparation
Cut the onion into perfect rings that aren't too thick

Now coat the onion rings with desiccated coconut
Make sure that the onion rings are coated on all sides
Heat oil and fry these crumbed onion rings until golden and crunchy
Serve hot with ketchup.
