Fitness enthusiasts often keep beef away from their platter to stay in shape. However, beef which is a store house of protein can be included in the diet if you cut down on the carbohydrates intake.
Steak diane is a unique beef dish whose classic flavours are loved by beef lovers around the world. It is believed that this recipe was tried for the first time in one of the kitchens in New York. This dish became hugely popular in the United States during the time of the Second World War.
Ingredients
2 beef steak
10 gm butter
Brandy as required
1 cup fresh cream
6 baby potato
100 gm mushroom
1tsp dried rosemary
1/2tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
5 shallots
Olive as required
Garlic as required
Salt as required
Pepper powder as required
Parsley
Preparation
Flatten the steaks using a rolling pin
Heat olive oil in a pan and place the beef steaks on it
Grill both sides and add salt and pepper powder as required
Set it aside
Pour some more olive oil in the same pan
Grill 6 baby potatoes cut in half along with dry rosemary and pepper powder
Heat oil in another pan
Add chopped shallots, garlic, diced mushroom, salt, pepper and 10 gm of butter
Sauté it well
Pour some brandy in it and cook for a while
Place the beef steaks in it and add a cup of fresh cream, Dijon mustard, Worcestershire sauce and chopped parsley
Mix it well
Steak diane tastes best when served hot
