Mohun Bagan Super Giant reached their third consecutive final in the Indian Super League (ISL) with a 3-2 aggregate win against Jamshedpur FC in the second semifinal in Kolkata on April 7, 2025.

Lalengmawia Ralte, popularly known as Apuia, scored the winner in the fourth minute of added time after Jason Cummings had put MBSG ahead in the 51st minute. Jamshedpur had won the first leg 2-1. MBSG will take on Bengaluru FC in the final to be held at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan stadium on April 12.

On Sunday, Sunil Chhetri came off the bench to score a late winner against FC Goa, sending Bengaluru FC to the final. Bengaluru won the semifinal 3-2 on aggregate.

Liston Colaco and Cummings combined to give MBSG a purposeful start, but Albino Gomes was not troubled in the early exchanges. But Cummings was rewarded for his efforts when a penalty was awarded early in the second half, which he converted with ease.

That goal brought parity to the semifinal contest, and MBSG pushed for a winner. Cummings hit the crossbar before the hosts found the winner. Anirudh Thapa and Apuia combined for the goal. Thapa’s pass was collected by the former Mumbai City player, who unleashed a shot from range that went into the top right corner.
