Asif Basheer: explorer of fintech terrains

Asif Basheer, one of the big names in the payment solutions field, will be one of the speakers at digital summit Manoramaonline Geojit Techspectations 2018, which will be held in Kochi on November 24.

Asif is the director of Chillar Payment Solutions. He is also the MD and chairman of the board.

An MBA from the University of Madras, Asif has been associated with two leading companies in the past. He started his career in sales and marketing with Tata Group. He worked there for over six years handling different geographies. He honoured with an international sales award by one of its group companies in 2001.

After his stint at Tata, Asif moved to Outsource Partners International where he handled India and Far East for sales & administration and compliance for India. He also worked in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, in setting up and rolling out the operations and part of the acquisition team for acquiring PA Consulting Malaysian Operation. The company later taken over by EXL. His career spanned over nine years on that assignment.

In 2013 he co-founded Chillar Payments Solutions along with his three friends. Chillar works predominantly in the fintech space and focuses on IT/software services and smart card technologies.

Techspectations 2018 will be held at Hotel Crown Plaza from 10 am on November 24.
