The Chinese city of Wuhan, where the COVID-19 pandemic that pushed the whole world into a vortex of fear and gloom, is currently on the path of revival. There are heart-warming reports that China, which had effectively put brakes on the spread of coronavirus, is limping back to normal life.
The Yellow Crane Tower, the most sought-after tourist spot in Wuhan, has been reopened to the public. Uncompromising measures to curb the spread of coronavirus helped this capital city of Hubei province to tide over the crisis.
Though the Tower is open from 8:30am to 5pm, the number of daily visitors has been capped at 5,400, and the tickets can be booked online. Every visitor will be given a green health card after verifying the QR code, and entry to the facility is allowed only after checking the body temperature.
As many as 266 main tourist attractions have reopened their gates for tourists in the Hubei province in central China. Twelve prominent tourist attractions in the region have been included on the Class-5 list. Many popular theme parks in China have started receiving visitors after the lockdown restrictions were eased. As there is a fear of resurgence of COVID-19, the authorities are not leaving any stone unturned while putting in place pre-emptive measures in these facilities.
People entering the parks are subjected to body temperature monitoring, and more staff have been deployed for cleaning and maintenance work. Display boards carrying messages stressing the importance of social distance have been erected at various points of the parks. Moreover, the park keepers will make sure that adequate space is maintained among people while they are taking a ride.
All theme parks across the world have down shutters due to the coronavirus scare. And if the measures taken by China in this regard are effective, then other countries can follow its footsteps while reopening their theme parks.
