Tamil Nadu-native Kaniha became one among the favourites of Malayalam moviegoers after she essayed some stellar roles opposite superstars of Mollywood. The actress is active on social media and regularly posts her travel snaps along with detailed messages.
In the wake of the pandemic, many celebrities had shelved their travel plans and have cooped up safely at home. As the travel curbs were lifted, many have started to hit the road by maintaining social distancing and following the directions from the health department. They were also uploading pictures of journeys they had undertaken earlier in a bid to relive the travel memories.
Recently, Kaniha had shared pictures of her trip with her husband to Paris on Instagram with a poignant message that she missed being a tourist. She had also posted a picture of her standing before the iconic Eiffel Tower. The actress had also written that she longed for the wine, cheese, and crepe of the romantic Paris.
After a long gap, Kaniha has now posted pictures of her tour to Kodaikanal along with her husband and son on Instagram. In one of the snaps, Kaniha is seen walking around the lake with her son.
Kodaikanal with a pleasant and cool climate and pristine natural beauty is one of the favoured destinations of travellers. This hill station in Tamil Nadu offers much more than blue lake, rows of pine trees, naturally carpeted green golf courses and horse rides. Kodaikanal is not only an ideal place for spending summer holidays but also a romantic honeymoon destination.
One can travel to Kodaikanal without burning a hole in the pocket. There will be a nip in the air when summer starts in the plains and that’s the reason why people flock to Kodaikanal during the April-May summer holidays. A visit to Kodaikanal kick starts with visits to a waterfall and museum.
Silver Cascade
If you are travelling from Madurai or Palani to Kodaikanal, you will be first reaching the tourist spot of Silver Cascade. The frothy waterfall with a height of 180ft is a treat for the eyes. There will be more visitors to the waterfall in the months of April and May.
Shenbaganur museum
The Shenbaganur museum in Kodaikanal is quite similar to the Gass Forest Museum in Coimbatore. This natural science museum has preserved carcasses of animals and birds and human dead bodies in chemical solutions. It also has stuffed wild buffaloes, deer, and rabbits apart from bottled pythons and human fetuses.
Kodaikanal is replete with wonderful views. Coakers walk, Bear Shola falls, Bryant Park, Kodaikanal Lake, Green valley view, natural science museum, science observatory, pillar rocks, Guna caves, and Dolphin's Nose are some of them. One can also go for trekking, boating, and cycling in Kodaikanal.
