Hello
Self-proclaimed godman and fugitive Nithyananda claims to have founded the "United States of Kailasa (USK)" in 2019 and according to its website, counts "two billion practising Hindus" among its population.
It was emerged in December last year that Nithyananda has created a Hindu nation, Kailaasa, with its own flag and political setup, on an island near Ecuador.
Citizenship to the new 'nation' is very selective and open only to people who are Nithyananda's devotees and must receive clearances from its 'Prime Minister' and 'Cabinet'.
The website declared that the fugitive godman has declared a 'Hindu sovereign nation' and even has a cabinet along with a Prime Minister.
Police also arrested Sadhvi Pranpriyananda and Priyatatva Riddhi Kiran, both women disciples of the controversial godman, on charges of allegedly kidnapping at least four children.
With help from the police, the parents visited the institute and managed to bring back their two minor daughters, but their elder daughters, Lopamudra Janardhana Sharma (21) and Nandhita (18), refused to accompany them, according to the petition.
