Kerala Blasters will kick off their Indian Super League campaign at home on Thiruvonam day (September 15) against Punjab FC. Onam is the harvest festival of Kerala.

The match is scheduled to kick off at 7.30 pm at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi.

The ISL season will begin with a clash between the defending champions Mohun Bagan Super Giant and ISL Cup winners Mumbai City in Kolkata on September 13.

Last season, the Blasters finished fifth in group phase and qualified to the knockouts, where they crashed out to Odisha FC. The Blasters have a new head coach in Swedish coach Mikael Stahre.

The Blasters play 14 matches in until the end of the year, including seven at home. In November, the Blasters fans will see their side play three games in a row in Kochi. But the team will be on the road in December, playing three of their four matches away.
