Thrissur: A 16-year-old girl died after falling into the Peechi Dam reservoir here on Monday. Aleena from Pattikad passed away while undergoing treatment at Jubilee Mission Hospital in Thrissur.
Three others, injured in the incident, remain in critical condition. A special medical team, including Thrissur Medical College experts, oversees their treatment.

The injured include 16-year-olds Ann Grace and Irene, both from Pattikad and 12-year-old Nima from Peechi. The incident occurred on Sunday when the group tried to rescue a friend who had fallen into the reservoir, resulting in all four falling into the water.

Ann Grace, Irene, Aleena, and Nima were friends of Hima, Nima’s sister. The group had travelled to Peechi for church feast celebrations.
