Four Sabarimala pilgrims from Karnataka hurt in car accident

Kozhikode: Four Sabarimala pilgrims from Karnataka were injured when the car they were travelling in lost control and rammed a tree early on Wednesday near Thiruvambadi. They were returning from the hill shrine when the accident happened.
There were five passengers in the car. Of those injured, two suffered fractures, and the others escaped with minor injuries. They have been shifted to the KMCT Hospital in Mukkom.
"One patient got a fracture on his ribs, and another got a fracture on his right hand. We have referred them to the Government Medical College Hospital," said a hospital representative.
The accident occurred at Thambalamanna, near Thiruvambadi, around 3 am. The Thiruvambadi police registered a case and started an inquiry. "There is no sign of another vehicle involved in the accident. But we have to investigate to know the exact reason for the mishap," said a police officer from the Thiruvambadi police station.
