Wayanad landslide survivor's fiance succumbs to injuries from accident

Jenson, the fiance of Wayanad landslide survivor Sruthi, has succumbed to his injuries sustained from a road accident here Wednesday evening.
Sruthi had lost her family members to the July 30 landslides that devastated the villages of Mundakkai and Chooralmala.

Doctors said due to a haemorrhage in the brain and multiple clots, Jenson's body was not reacting to medicine for the last two hours.
Jenson was first admitted to a private hospital before being shifted to the WIMS Medical College as his condition turned critical.

Sruthi was also injured in the head-on collision between a van and a private bus at Vellaramkunnu near Kalpetta on Tuesday. She has been admitted to a private hospital.

Jenson was a native of Andoor near Ambalavayal. His marriage to Sruthi was to be held in December. Jenson and Sruthi were childhood sweethearts. Jenson's parents are Parimalam Veettil Jayan and Mary. He has a brother Jaison and sister Jency.

When the landslides hit Wayanad, Sruthi was away in Kozhikode, where she was employed as an accountant at a private hospital. She lost 9 relatives in the landslide.
