Kollam: The NCC cadets of TKM College, Kollam, welcomed their group commander Brigadier R Shankar on Monday at a small function held on the college ground.
The Associate NCC Officer (ANO) of the college Libi Santhosh received the group commander in the presence of hundreds of high-spirited cadets.
The guard of honour was given by Captain Jayalekshmi and her crew, and a march past followed.
The new Brigadier then visited the NCC room. He appreciated the cadets, the ANO and handed over gifts.
The programme which began around 1 pm was over by 4 pm.
The NCC or the National Cadet Corps is an Indian military cadet corps. School and college students are eligible to join it voluntarily.
