Instead, Jijimon Chandran, who has completed an executive management programme at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, California, chose to tread the entrepreneurial path, riding high on his confidence. He is among the techpreneurs who knew it would be naive not to catch up on the global boom in automotive software outsourcing.

As the CEO and founder of Acsia Technologies, a global Automotive ECU software solution and research company headquartered in Thiruvananthapuram, Jijimon’s journey from a salaried IT professional to a first-generation entrepreneur showcase his innate leadership abilities and entrepreneurial spirit.

Jijimon started Acsia Technologies in 2014, driven by a passion to revolutionise the automotive industry through cutting-edge software solutions. The company that started with 10 members has now expanded its home office to an 85,000-sq ft facility and even taken over a German company, Arctictern. The company also has offices in Infopark in Kochi and Bangalore. Recently, the company expanded its reach in Europe and North America.

Over the years, Jijimon has successfully scaled Acsia’s capabilities in advanced automotive technologies in areas like Analytics, Cloud, Cybersecurity, IoT, AI, Machine Learning, and Industry 4.0.

Today Acsia has strategic alliances with a good number of leading automotive brands guiding their R&D efforts in the above areas. Acsia is also the software solutions developer for some of the world's leading automobile manufacturers, including BMW.

His other professional association includes holding the esteemed position of Chair at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Thiruvananthapuram Zone for the term 2024-25 outside the boardroom, Jijimon Chandran is an avid sports enthusiast, particularly passionate about marathons and golf.

An alumnus of Stanford University and Birla Institute of Technology, Pilani (BITS Pilani), Jijimon had his beginnings in technology development as a software engineer with Hitachi Corporation of Japan in 2000 where he held a pivotal role in software development and management.
