Here's how pineapple can ease period pain
The compound bromelain in pineapple helps reduce inflammation and pain. Besides, bromelain is excellent for curing muscle injuries. The vitamin C and manganese in pineapple can reduce oxidative stress during periods. Pineapple could be included in the regular diet in many ways. Some of them are:
Pineapple juice
Drinking pineapple juice is not only refreshing but can also ease menstrual pain. However, make sure to consume the juice without adding sugar or preservatives. You could add a few drops of lemon juice to increase the vitamin C content.

Fresh pineapple pieces
You can enjoy fresh pineapple pieces as a healthy snack daily. Pineapple is loaded with vitamins, antioxidants, and bromelain, which eases inflammation and menstrual cramps.
Pineapple smoothie
Pineapple smoothies are delicious and easy to make. You could also add bananas, berries, and mangoes to make the smoothie extra tasty and nutritious. Meanwhile, adding leafy vegetables like spinach would make the smoothie a complete nutritional drink. Besides easing the cramps, pineapple smoothies give you a boost of energy.

Pineapple tea
Pineapple tea is an excellent drink to enjoy during menstruation. It keeps the body hydrated and soothes pain and discomfort. To make pineapple tea, add some pineapple pieces to 2 – 3 glasses of water. Simmer this liquid for 10 – 15 minutes. Strain the tea and add some honey or cinnamon to enhance the flavour.
