Ummar Koya, a businessman, has built his dream mansion at his hometown in Areekode, Malappuram, Kerala. The plot is on the slope of a beautiful cliff and is surrounded by lush greenery and pristine woods. The family wanted a modern abode that blends amazingly with the surrounding nature.
The car porch is projected from the façade and this grants a regal look to the house. Interestingly, this house looks unique from three sides. The structure is built by leaving enough space for a spacious front yard. Meanwhile, the landscape and the drive way are paved with natural stones, Kadappa stones and grass as well.
Designed in 4300 sq ft area, this spectacular mansion has a car porch, sit-out, formal and family living areas, dining space, kitchen and five bedrooms. The interiors are designed in the semi open style. This makes the spaces look vaster and allows amazing communication as well.
The elegant charm of wooden furnishing is the highlight of the interiors. Vitrified tiles are used for flooring in this house. The stairway, which exudes the classy elegance of wood, is definitely an eye catching feature in the interiors. The handrails, meanwhile, features toughened glass. The wall beside the stairway has been turned into a TV wall.
The kitchen is furnished giving prime importance to utility rather than luxury. The cabinets here are done in multi wood with paint finish.
There are two bedrooms in the ground floor while three are in the upper storey. The bedrooms are spacious, functional and are decorated in unique themes. The bath attached bedrooms have in built wardrobes and separate dressing spaces as well.
